R & L Spring Co. to Start Third Expansion Project in Lake Geneva
R & L Spring Company, Lake Geneva, Wis., will add 46,405 square feet to their plant in the Lake Geneva Business Park according to Scott R. Forsythe, president and owner. R & L Spring is a producer of precision wire springs and wire forms for industrial, RV, auto, and medical markets with 83 employees working two shifts. The company is expected to add at least 10 employees in 2013 once the new addition is complete.
R & L Spring is celebrating its 40th anniversary in 2012 having been started in Ridgefield, Ill. in 1972. In 1996 the company moved to a newly constructed 85,000 square foot facility in the Lake Geneva Business Park from multiple locations in Northern Illinois.
In 2006 the Medicoil Division of R & L was transferred to a new 53,000 square foot facility on an adjacent site in the Lake Geneva Business Park. They now have 80 employees producing micro-precision coils and wire products for the medical device industry world- wide.
Excel Engineering, Fond du Lac, Wis., is the engineering/design firm for the project. Magill Construction, Elkhorn, Wis., will be the general contractor.
